Interior Designer Restaurant
AlitiniDesign transformed the Pentabistrot, a pizzeria-restaurant, from a dark, 1980s-style space into a modern and inviting dining destination.
A Welcoming Entrance
Upon entering, guests are greeted by a spacious and airy ambiance, achieved by rearranging the furniture and moving the bar counter back from the entrance. A small cash register counter was added to the right of the entrance, further enhancing the sense of openness.
Two Distinct Dining Areas
The Pentabistrot features two distinct dining areas, each with its unique character.
The Pizza Room
The first dining area, located closest to the entrance, houses a pizza counter with a Valoriani oven and a few tables. A standout feature is the “Friendship Table,” a high table with mosaic black top (reminiscent of the oven’s dome) and honey-colored oak legs that can accommodate up to 12 guests.
The Main Dining Room
The second dining area features tables primarily positioned along the perimeter walls, placed in front of benches attached to a 1.2-meter-high wall. Upward-facing spotlights installed on the wall create a warm and inviting ambiance. At the center of the room stands a column clad in black mosaic, echoing the design of the Friendship Table and oven, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic. Two windows in this area are cleverly concealed behind backlit satin-glazed glass panels, adding a touch of elegance and privacy.
A Play of Contrasts
The Pentabistrot’s interior design is characterized by a captivating interplay of contrasting elements. The whitewashed wooden floor and white bar counters, constructed from horizontally laid wooden planks, provide a bright and airy base, while the black mosaic accents on the pizza oven, Friendship Table, and central column add a touch of drama and sophistication. This interplay of light and dark creates a visually stimulating and inviting dining experience.
