A Culinary Metamorphosis: From Humble Bar to Gourmet Haven
In this remarkable project, we were tasked with completely revamping a suburban bar into a luxurious gourmet restaurant. The challenge lay in seamlessly blending modern and antique elements, paying homage to the rich Italian design heritage while embracing contemporary trends.
A Symphony of Light and Contrast
To achieve this harmonious balance, we employed a series of striking contrasts. Sleek, backlit glass vitrines were juxtaposed against dark furnishings, creating a captivating interplay of light and shadow. These vitrines were strategically positioned behind the bar, on a supporting column, and as a backdrop to the main dining area, adding depth and visual intrigue.
A Welcoming Embrace
A high-top table with stools emerged from the bar counter, facing a display case, inviting patrons to step into this culinary haven. Throughout the dining area, we arranged a variety of tables, including a high-top option with stools and a raised platform, to create intimate and semi-private spaces.
A Fusion of Modernity and Tradition
The ambiance exudes a timeless elegance that seamlessly blends modern and classic sensibilities. The luminous vitrines embody contemporary design, while the warm glow of recessed lighting and the vintage-inspired stools and tables nod to a bygone era.
A Touch of Italian Flair
To further accentuate the contrasts, we incorporated small mosaic tiles into the bar counter, featuring a black and white pattern that evokes traditional Italian craftsmanship. These details add a touch of rustic charm, harmonizing beautifully with the overall design aesthetic.
